A Great Madness chronicles the living of mathematician and Nobel Prize winner John Nash. Born in Bluefield, WV, the eccentric Nash joined the prestigious math department at Princeton inside the late '40s.
In 1950, on the age of 21, he designed the Nash Equilibrium, a challenge to conventional online game principle that would prove groundbreaking to economics. No one, even so, acknowledged its significance on the time. After receiving his doctorate, Nash started teaching at M.I.T. wherever he met and married Alicia Larde.
He was frustrated, though, by the sluggish improvement of his career and began to exhibit indications of psychological imbalance. Nash was committed for any small time to McLean Hospital where he was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia.
